Thursday: static/flat

What's the difference between a static and flat character?  Identify one of each.

  1. A static character does not change at all during the time of the book, movie, show, ect. and it will show only one or two characteristics. Unlike a flat character, they are more of the supporting character that cane be affected by the plot.

  16. A static character is one who is quite energetic and ready for action, while a flat character is more on the boring side. An example of a static character would be Red in the book The Sword of Light while and example of a flat character would be Cassiel's personality in the beginning of the book.
